DESCRIPTION
DVISVG is a program for converting from DVI to SVG.

DVISVG creates one SVG Document, which includes content of the selected page
from the specified DVI file. DVISVG produces outlines for used glyphs/characters
in DVI file as an external SVG Font.

SVG Document produced by DVISVG uses external SVG Fonts so there is
a problem with using Adobe's SVG Viewer which doesn't currently support it.
Solution is using embeded fonts which can to be easily inserted in svg file
from the external fonts file.

For more about program options and configuration look in included man page
in the sources of DVISVG.

EXAMPLE
DVI file kjb.dvi was converted to out.svg and fonts.svg with logfile out.log.
You can look version with embeded fonts out-ef.svg with Adobe's SVG Viewer.

DVISVG is written in C and you can download the latest version dvisvg-0.7.1.tar.gz,
you can browse for all versions here or you can check build for FreeBSD on freshports.

DVISVG is protected by the terms of GNU General Public Licence.

REQUIREMENTS
The first is Kpathsea library and Type1 fonts (pfa, pfb) from teTeX.
The second is Ghostscript for SVG Fonts generating.

DVISVG is outcome of my master's thesis. It is written in Slovak language dipl (PDF).
